Ambassadori Batumi Project: An ambitious development that redefines the Black Sea coast

The Ambassadori Batumi project is one of the most ambitious projects in Georgia. Spanning 102 hectares, it includes two artificial peninsulas and an artificial island. This development is inspired by major projects in Dubai, such as Palm Jumeirah, and aims to transform Batumi into a must-see international destination. However, this project is not limited to urban expansion. It incorporates modern elements, accessible public spaces and a strong commitment to sustainability. By combining innovation and respect for the environment, Batumi aims to become a world reference in coastal development.

Taking inspiration from Dubai: a strategy to attracting the world

Dubai is famous for its spectacular coastal projects, including the Palm Jumeirah. This artificial island, designed in the shape of a palm tree, has transformed the city's coastline. It has become a symbol of luxury and innovation, hosting prestigious hotels, exclusive residences, as well as major tourist attractions. Similarly, Batumi is taking a bold approach to redefining its coastline. By creating artificial islands, the city hopes to attract tourists, foreign investors and residents. However, unlike Dubai, Batumi places a particular emphasis on sustainability. Nearly 49% of land will be devoted to public spaces, such as parks and walking trails, reflecting a more balanced approach between modernity and nature.

International expertise to guarantee success

To carry out this project, Batumi called on international and local experts. Two renowned companies play an essential role:

  • YUKSEL PROJE, a Turkish company specializing in marine infrastructure, has already designed similar projects, such as the Trabzon and Ordu-Giresun airports.
  • ARUP, a British company renowned for its expertise in sustainable and innovative urban planning, worked on the planning of this project.

Thanks to this collaboration, the teams have carried out in-depth studies to guarantee the safety and stability of artificial floors. These analyzes make it possible to prevent risks linked to erosion and maritime conditions.

A project designed for everyone: leisure, modernity and nature

Unlike some projects that focus solely on luxury, Ambassadori Batumi aims to offer a balanced experience. This development is aimed at both locals and tourists. Here are the main characteristics of the project:

  1. Green spaces and leisure:
    • 49% of the territory will be dedicated to parks, artificial forests and walking trails.
    • Cycle paths and relaxation areas will be created to encourage outdoor activities.
  2. Modern infrastructure:
    • Modern schools and hospitals will be built to meet the needs of residents.
    • Luxury hotels, residential complexes and villas will attract international visitors and investors.
  3. Tourist and recreational facilities:
    • A yacht club, heliports and multi-sports grounds will reinforce the attractiveness of the region.
    • A modern exhibition center and cultural spaces will enrich Batumi’s tourist and economic offering.

With this inclusive approach, Batumi seeks to improve the quality of life of residents while strengthening its international influence.

A sustainable project: protecting the environment above all

One of the priorities of the Ambassadori Batumi project is to limit its environmental impact. Several concrete measures have been taken to achieve this objective:

  • Protective embankments: These structures protect coastlines against erosion and reinforce the stability of artificial soils.
  • Preservation of ecosystems: The work takes into account local fauna and flora in order to minimize disturbance.
  • Creation of green spaces: Parks and artificial forests will reduce the overall ecological footprint and improve local biodiversity.

By integrating these measures, Batumi shows that it is possible to combine urban development and nature preservation.

An ambitious timetable: state of work

Since obtaining the permit in September 2022, the work is progressing quickly. To date, 15 hectares of land have already been developed. The first phase of the project includes:

  • The creation of a 4-hectare public park, which will provide a leisure space accessible to residents and visitors.
  • The construction of a modern exhibition center and a multifunctional complex to host cultural and economic events.

This infrastructure will lay the foundations for the next stages, which will include hotels, residential areas and tourist facilities.

Batumi, in the footsteps of Dubai

The Ambassadori Batumi Project is not just an urban development project. It is an ambitious vision that draws inspiration from the successes of Dubai while integrating greater attention to the environment. By combining innovation, sustainability and modern design, this project promises to:

  • Position Batumi as a major international destination.
  • Stimulate the local economy through an influx of tourists and foreign investment.
  • Offer residents a modern and balanced living environment, combining comfort and nature.

Just as Dubai has redefined its coastline with iconic projects like Palm Jumeirah, Batumi is seeking to become a global example of harmonious coastal development.
